The anti-aging ingredients you should be including in your diet to keep your skin youthful

We could have the best skincare routine in the world, but it’s also important to nourish our skin from the inside to ensure it stays healthy and youthful.

There are certain ingredients that we should try to include in our diet so our skin, nails and hair are at their best, because if we’re not getting the right nutrients, our body won’t be functioning as well as it can to look great.

These include collagen, hyaluronic acid and biotin, reports RSVP Live.

Here’s everything you need to know about the ingredients you can be consuming to stay looking great.

According to Healthline, as you age, the production of collagen – a protein that helps maintain skin structure – slows, leading to accelerated signs of aging like wrinkles.

Some research suggests that supplementing with collagen may reduce signs of aging, including wrinkles and dry skin.

For example, a 12-week study in 72 women demonstrated that taking a supplement that contained 2.5 grams of collagen – along with several other ingredients, including biotin – per day significantly improved skin hydration, roughness, and elasticity.

Biotin, also known as vitamin B7, is a vitamin found in foods like eggs, milk, and bananas. Biotin deficiency can cause thinning of the hair and a rash on the face.

According to Healthline, most people get the biotin they need from eating a healthy diet, but there have been many claims that getting more biotin can regulate your blood sugar, and promote healthy hair, skin, and nails.

hyaluronic acid

We’ve all heard of hyaluronic acid serums and creams, but hyaluronic acid supplements can also help your skin look and feel more supple from within.

Roughly half of the hyaluronic acid in your body is present in your skin, where it binds to water to help retain moisture, according to Healthline.

However, the natural aging process and exposure to things like ultraviolet radiation from the sun, tobacco smoke and pollution can decrease its amounts in the skin.

Taking hyaluronic acid supplements may prevent this decline by giving your body extra amounts to incorporate into the skin.

How do I incorporate these ingredients into my diet?

It can be hard to figure out a diet that has all of these ingredients in, so that’s where supplements come in handy, such as Revive Active Beauty Complex.
