Kim Kardashian Accused Of Copying Lori Harvey’s Skincare Brand

And this isn’t the first time Kim has been called out for a brand name.

Kim Kardashian is about to relaunch her skincare line — but some fans are taking issue with the brand’s name.

Earlier this week, Kim announced her beauty brand, formerly known as KKW Beauty, would be rebranded under the name SKKN BY KIM.

The refillable nine-piece skincare line is set to launch June 21 and includes products like hyaluronic acid serum and vitamin C8 serum.

And while many fans were excited that Kim would be reentering the beauty space, quite a few couldn’t help but point out how similar the brand name is to Lori Harvey’s recently launched line.

Back in October, Lori unveiled SKN by LH — a five-step skincare routine including her own vitamin C serum and a peptide eye complex cream.

Fans immediately took to Twitter to voice their thoughts about Kim’s similarly named line — and a lot of them weren’t happy:

Kim launching her brand skkn by Kim after Lori launched skn by lh is kind of annoying. I’m sure the name was decided on before Lori’s launch but neither party could of picked a more unique name

So Kim K just launched her skin care brand *not suprising* what is to me is the laziness in the brand naming. Lori Harvey launched her skin care line months ago and it is named ‘SKN by LH’ Kim just added one K to hers. ‘SKKN by Kim’ 🤣

This isn’t the first time Kim has come under fire for a brand name either. Back in 2019, Kim launched Kimono, her shapewear line which would eventually be renamed Skims.

Kim faced backlash for using the name of the traditional Japanese dress for her products that had nothing to do with Japanese culture or attire.

Finally I can share with you guys this project that I have been developing for the last year. I’ve been passionate about this for 15 years. Kimono is my take on shapewear and solutions for women that actually work. Photos by Vanessa Beecroft

While Kim said she had no intention to “resemble or dishonor the traditional garment,” she ultimately ended up renaming the company to Skims.

Whether Kim (or Lori) will be changing their brand name is still yet to be seen.
