A North Korean trade official who visited China was executed for quarantine violation after returning to the DPRK, the Daily Mail reports citing Korean media. The Donga newspaper said that the man left quarantine and went to a public bath.
It is worth recalling that military laws were introduced in respect of DPRK citizens visiting China to ensure the country’s security.
The official was quarantined – this is now the case in the DPRK with citizens visiting a neighboring country. For violation of the law, the man was sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out.
It is also reported that another North Korean official was exiled to a remote farm after trying to hide the fact of a visit to China. North Korea has taken the most stringent quarantine measures, almost completely blocking the border with China. Not a single case of coronavirus in the DPRK has yet been recorded.
In China, meanwhile, the number of patients with coronavirus reached 60 thousand, 1367 people died.
