Sharon Osbourne recently shared that her husband would be undergoing surgery in Los Angeles that could be life-changing. During an episode of The Talk, she said,

“He has a very major operation on Monday June 13th, and I have to be there. It’s really going to determine the rest of his life.”

She did not go into detail about the type of procedure or the health problem it may be treated, but in the past, she has been open about his struggles with Parkinson’s disease.

Ozzy also suffers from neck pain and stiffness as a result of an ATV accident in 2003.

A fall in 2019 worsened his neck problems and left him in a lot of pain.

In recent interviews, he had mentioned that he needed more surgeries to relieve those symptoms.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Ozzy talked about the accident and the fall. He said he was trying to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night and tripped over something in the darkness. He explained, “I came down really, really hard. I went slam — on my face.”

It was only a short time later that Ozzy made a statement about his Parkinson’s diagnosis but also explained that it was something he had been dealing with.

Despite his health problems, Ozzy has stayed busy with work. In April of this year, he happily announced the completion of his newest album, which is planned for release in September.

Page Six seemed to confirm that the June 13th surgery did pertain to those neck injuries. A family source told the publication:

“Ozzy is 73 and any kind of surgery when you get older is difficult. This is quite major. He’s having the pins in his neck and back realigned from when he had a fall back in 2019. He’s been in a lot of pain.”

Fans and colleagues reacted to the news of Ozzy’s surgery on social media. Many sent messages of well wishes and a quick recovery.

Ozzy also showed his appreciation for fans before his surgery by sharing ” I Love You All.”
