Dentistry risks losing more than one third of dental nurses in the next two years. That’s according to the latest figures from the Dentistry Census, which show 39% are looking to quit the profession. Many believe low pay is one of the main reasons for this.
MP voices concerns over ‘financially unviable’ dental practices
Rob Roberts, Welsh MP, has spoken about the state of dentistry in Wales calling for swift action. He lists the reasons as fewer overseas dentists, difficult regulation and patients opting for NHS dentistry when they can afford private work.
