infamous 90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem has sparked controversy with many of her no-makeup selfies after weight loss on Instagram. 56-year-old Angela and her 34-year-old husband Michael Ilesanmi are perhaps one of the most iconic couples in the TLC franchise. Michael was the one who had approached Angela on Facebook with a lovey-dovey message after which she thought he was a scammer from Nigeria. While Michael expected Angela to give him a baby, she, being fully aware of her body’s limitations, decided to look younger for him instead. As they waited for Michael’s spousal visa to be processed, Angela underwent weight loss surgery. Angela has supposedly dropped over 100 pounds since she had her gastric sleeve operation in August 2020. There has been no update on Michael’s date of arrival in America. It is something Angela and Michael will save for their storyline in whatever 90 Day Fiancé spin-off they will appear in next.
But until then, Angela has been busy posting about her makeover on Instagram after starting to feel confident in her own skin. Angela’s attempts are not usually appreciated by fans who’ve come to see her as a 90 Day Fiancé villain and others who think she looks older than she is after the surgery. 90 Day Fiancé star Angela is often seen with unrealistic filters or glam makeup on her Instagram feed. But in July 2021, Angela posted a series of selfies that reflected her natural skin. Interestingly, the post was an ad for a hair straightener that the 90 Day Fiancé star had apparently used before taking the selfies. Fans thought that Angela’s hair looked fried and damaged which is why she should trim it. They asked Angela to perhaps not bleach her hair and opt for a darker hair dye instead. They also harshly pointed out that Angela was looking much older for her age, which could sadly be why Angela has gotten used to editing her photos for IG.

Angela has become quite the dancer after losing weight and is often posting TikToks of her shaking a leg on her Instagram. In a November 2021 video, Angela wore a bright yellow top and black slacks and with her hair tied up in a bun, showed off her moves to the song “Jerusalema” by Master KG. 90 Day Fiancé icon Angela looked like she was comfortable dancing away with no makeup on in her kitchen but some critics didn’t miss a chance to chide her since it was messy. Some rude comments such as, “Granny trying to dance?” also showed up under Angela’s post. However, more fans loved Angela’s positive attitude in the video which has over 26k likes, as they cheered her on and asked her to keep on dancing.
Angela Deem Gets Creative With Her Selfie
Angela ditched her makeup for face paint in a photo post from October 2021. Angela confidently posted the selfie with the half-faded paint and no makeup after enjoying a day out at the Georgia National Fair in Perry, GA. but 90 Day Fiancé fans still spotted Angela’s wrinkles in the picture while they advised her to quit smoking. “We are the same age but you look twice as old. Stop smoking cigarettes!” one of Angela’s Instagram followers said to her in the comments. The dark mark on Angela’s lower lip also stood out in the selfie which a fan concluded was a “ccigarette indent.” Still, Angela’s supporters showed her love on the post. They wished that they’d run into Angela at the fair as they congratulated her on the tough weight loss journey which she’s somehow making look easy on 90 Day Fiancé.
